Close, Closer is going to London!

Close, Closer is going to London!

On Thursday, 13 June, Close, Closer chief curator Beatrice Galilee, curators Liam Young and Mariana Pestana and participant Daniel Fernandez Pascual will present the concepts and content that shape the programme of the third Lisbon Architecture Triennale.

With only three months to go before the opening week (12-15 Sep 2013), join the curators and learn what Close, Closer has in store for you this autumn. Liam Young is the curator of Future Perfect, an exhibition of speculative architecture where biosciences, robotics, multimedia and design combine to create the envionments and narratives that create tomorrow’s city. Mariana Pestana curates The Real and Other Fictions, an exhibition that re-enacts the rich history and programmes of the 17th-century Pombal Palace  through newly-commissioned, fully functional installations by architects, designers and artists. Daniel Fernandez Pascual is a participant of New Publics, a public program of debates, performances and workshops. Taking place at the central Lisbon square of Praça da Figueira,  its goal is to engage a wide audience in the discussion of civi space (as opposed to public space).

Jointly hosted by Building Design and KPF, the event will be chaired by Jeremy Till, head of Central Saint Martins and pro-vice chancellor of the University of the Arts.
