Matchmaking Conference on the go from 16 to 18 February at MAO.

Following the call for ideas that generated 337 ideas from 56 countries all over the world, 25 candidates selected by the platform members, Future Architecture alumni and the public will appear at the Matchmaking Conference taking place at MAO, in Ljubljana. These candidates will meet with the platform members, where they will personally present and pitch their ideas and visions aiming to match with members of the platform. Becoming a part of the Future Architecture platform programme, they will travel all around Europe.

From our side as one of the 18 members, we will select from the pool three candidates for a Critical Distance Conference, taking place at the main auditorium of the Cultural Centre of Belém, in the Portuguese capital in October 2017.

“With the participation of institutions from all over Europe and based on the ideas of young professionals we will implement a programme showcasing the exceptional and highly diverse potential architecture has to shape our future,” says Matevž Čelik, platform manager and director of MAO.

The first two days of the conference will be open to public and include lectures from notable figures in the field of architecture and urban planning.
