Open Japan

Inserted within the support of international solidarity to the Japan project "Global 72hr WorkJam Japan Open is the first major international event online platform developed by OpenSimSim, established in Berlin, which seeks to develop and promote the concept of work in open source.

This project will aim at developing a collaborative work with architects, designers, engineers, etc. and anyone who is willing to donate their time and expertise to launch a set of ideas for rebuilding the devastated areas of Japan under the premise a more sustainable future.

The event will develop an innovative format. Will last for 3 days (72 hours), divided into four shifts, of 6 hours each, according to each area, as Japan, Russia, Europe and the United States. The first shift of 6 hours is in Japan, then passing the material developed for Russia, which in turn will pass for European cities and, finally, come to the United States, completing the first cycle of 24 hours. The cycle starts over again in Japan until it completes the 3 days.

At the end of this process, the result will be presented in international exhibitions, while at the same time it will be prepared the formal questions so that the project be put into practice in Japan.

Lisbon is one of several work centers around the world, which include cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, Moscow, Berlin, Madrid, New York. The official representative of the event will be Luis Santiago Batista and the group leaders the arquitects José Adrião e Pedro Pacheco.
