Future Perfect Workshop

Future Perfect Workshop

Tomorrow’s city undergoing remodelling at Palácio Sinel de Cordes.

This weekend (18 and 19 May), the curator of exhibition Future Perfect, Liam Young, is leading a workshop for a group of ten graduates of the Integrated MA in Architecture of  Lisbon’s Instituto Superior Técnico.
Together, they will carry out the last stage of development of the hyper-real scale model that constitutes one of the key elements of Future Perfect. This immersive exhibition will recreate tomorrow’s city, departing from research currently in progress, in areas such as biosciences, robotics, multimedia, 3D design, etc.

Formed by areas or “districts”, the exhibition will offer an intense sensory experience of the future urban habitat, which the visitor is welcome to walk through and explore.

The model was built following “Under Tomorrow’s Sky”, a think tank held at MU Foundation, Eindhoven in 2012, laying the groundwork for Future Perfect.

Part of Close, Closer, the 3rd edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennal, the exhibition opens on 12 September at Museu da Electricidade, EDP Electricity Museum (until 15 December).

On 20 May, at 12 pm, Liam Young gives a lecture at the Instituto Superior Técnico (Anfiteatro do Complexo Interdisciplinar).

Instituto Superior Técnico
and Ecocompósitos support this workshop.
