Pedro Bandeira (1970) is architect and associated professor at the School of Architecture at Minho University and a member/researcher of Lab2PT. At the invitation of the Institute of the Arts and Ministry of Culture, Bandeira was included in the exhibition Metaflux as part of the Portuguese representation at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2004. He also represented Portugal at the São Paulo Architecture Biennale. He is the author of the book Projectos Específicos para um Cliente Genérico – uma antologia de trabalhos desenvolvidos entre 1996 e 2006 (Porto: Editora Dafne). In 2007 he completed his PhD thesis titled Arquitectura como Imagem, Obra como Representação: Subjectividade das Imagens Arquitectónicas. In December 2011 he was awarded the SIM Prize (promoted by Samsung) for the Casa Girassol (Sunflower House), which he co-designed.
