Angular is a collective formed by students from University of Lisbon’s Faculty of Architecture (FAUL). The group's practice focuses on three main fields: in a first approach - a critical view on the teaching of architecture - Angular contributes through the creation of Nave, an article for Cartha Magazine, or the design (in progress) of the Grave magazine at the FAUL; another approach is the connection between academic world and professional practice, in addition to the initiatives promoted by the Nave in this field, with the development of an architecture studio practice - work and tenders; finally, the promotion of multidisciplinary actions is another objective explored by projects like Soma, searching for a vision of the future of architecture through the benefits of dialogue with other areas.
Tapada das Lajes
Tapada das Lajes offers a unique view of the Gardunha mountain range and is occupied by a house that humanises this granite setting in a solitary setting. A spatial, constructive and programmatic solution was proposed for a rural tourism complex, in a contemporary approach to an ancient way of living and building, whose unequivocal qualities must be preserved.
Nave
A FAUL student group, which intends to act on four main objectives: bringing the academic world closer to professional reality; the creation of occasions that complement the basic teaching model; promoting contact between FAUL and the other institutions that share the architecture course; and the sponsorship of multidisciplinary actions.
