All the projects not yet built are sketches, drafts, fragments - ways in which people and in particular professionals working in architecture try not to despair. To wait, but not entirely, and in immobility. Waiting alongside images, producing them if possible - this is what many people are trying to do. Not to despair has never been easy.
Now launched in Lisbon, we invite you to this conversation between Gonçalo M. Tavares and Os Espacialistas.
For those who wish to purchase the publication, it will be available at the Lisbon Triennale bookshop for 27 euros.

We continue our series of on-the-move residencies undergone by an emerging European generation that has grown up with unprecedented freedom of movement across a vast common territory. The challenge is to outline both the journey and the themes behind an observation exercise compiled in a travelogue. The only rule is to keep both feet on the ground: no planes allowed.
From Lina's open call, we invite fellows to embark on a journey to reflect on architecture and landscape, framed by notions of borders, fluidity, displacement or heritage. We encourage non-linear itineraries where wandering, detours and the unexpected are part of the exploration and inspire the creation of a sound or audio-visual piece. As with any journey, this is a learning process shaped by the connections made along the way.

In partnership with VI PER Gallery, we are commissioning a double-exhibition that explores how energy moves, transforms, and dissipates – both within bodies and throughout the material world. In recent years, associations between architecture and energy have gained prominence, highlighting a continuous cycle of overexertion driven by the maximum extraction of potential energy at various stages of architectural production.
Brazilian spatial designer Alina Paias, based in the Netherlands, is curating this dual exhibition spanning from Prague to Lisbon. Paias is an independent researcher who engages with architectural production through feminist philosophy, new materialism, the environmental humanities, and the philosophy of technology. Paias is a member of the Editorial Team of Footprint: The Delft Architecture Theory Journal and was part of the curatorial team for the 2024 International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam (IABR).
This simultaneous exhibition is the third takeover of our cultural centre – Palácio Sinel de Cordes led by a LINA member and is part of this network’s programme.

Already in its 14th year, this festival returns in Spring 2025 for another weekend of free visits and walks. We invited the duo behind local independent publisher Monade, Daniela Sá and João Carmo Simões, to come up with the theme and programme.
As always, these two days are filled with activities open to everyone. Accessibility remains a key focus, with visits in English, tactile, and relaxed. Junior events welcome all families with children. We will also launch a new sound walk to explore another Lisbon neighbourhood independently, offering a fresh perspective on unique examples of the city's architecture over a broad time span.
