This European photography project will be in Lisbon from November 28th to December 16th, with six exhibitions that have already been to six European countries (Hungry, United Kingdom, Slovenia, Germany, Poland and Sweden). This is the cycle Parallel – European Photo Based Platform, which sees in this occasion all its exhibitions united in the same city for the first time.
Parallel Review Lisboa joins the work of 23 emerging artists in shows organized by six also emerging curators in three locations at Campo de Santa Clara: Polo São Vicente, Mercado de Santa Clara and our very own Palácio Sinel de Cordes.
At the Palace you will find two exhibitions, “Rarely Pure, Never Simple” with works by Joséphine Desmenez, Livia Sperandio, Nita Vera and Philippe Meuser, curated by Maria Faarinen; and “Acts of Disappearance” with works by Emanuel Cederqvist, Ida Nissen, Joshua Phillips, Morten Barker, Nuno Barroso and Thomas Wynne, curated by Bruno Humberto.
Besides the exhibitions there are also talks on the state of contemporary photography and workshops, both at the Triennale HQ:

2-5pm Cyanotype Workshop
The Cyanotype is one of the first photographic processes, discovered in 1842 by Sir John Herschel. In this process, the image is made by direct exposure to the Sun. Guided by the photographer Pedro Gil, these Cyanotype's workshops intend to be an introduction to this technique.
The participants have at their disposal all the materials needed to produce 10 x 15cm postcard images from photographic matrices printed in acetate. Although, please bring your own negative images, printed on acetate, ink jet or parchment paper or objects with different opacities, to create your own postcards. Participants can also produce larger-format stills, with plants collected in the palace garden. If you like, you can bring other papers or media to print, as long as they are porous materials with A4 format.
