António Mega Ferreira

Author, manager and journalist, António Mega Ferreira was born in Lisbon in 1949. He graduated in law from Lisbon’s Universidade Clássica and studied broadcasting and journalism at the University of Manchester. He headed the application of Lisbon to EXPO’98 and was executive commissioner of the world exhibit and member of the respective board of directors, from 1993 to 1999. He was chairman of boards of Parque Expo’s, managing the post-Expo period (1999-2002); Lisbon’s Oceanarium (1994-2000); and Atlântico SA, Lisbon’s multiuse pavilion (1994-2000). He was a consultant to the board of the Universal Forum of Cultures - Barcelona2004 (2002-04).
