Created by EDP - Energias de Portugal in December 2004, the EDP Foundation is a private, non-profit institution with the legal status of public service organization. Its mission is to contribute to an improvement in the quality of life of the citizens, through social, cultural and scientific initiatives. It manages and is responsible for the programming of MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, designed by British architect Amanda Levete and inaugurated in 2016, part of the iconic Electricity Museum. As a strategic partner and associate member of the Triennale since its creation, the EDP Foundation plays a major role in its regular activity.
