Graduated in Architecture from the University Lusíada of Oporto. Performed professional work at the Centre for Studies in Architecture Department at the Oporto University in 1998. Has a Master Degree from the Barcelona School of Architecture of the Technical University of Catalonia, with works in Venice and Naples under the coordination of the architect Eduard Brú. In 2000 founded the studio “Nuno Sampaio, Arquitectos”. Was an invited professor at the Technical University of Catalonia. Commissioned exhibitions and lectured at various schools and institutions. Presently is an elected member of the Board of the National Order of Architects and a member of Casa da Arquitectura. Director of Estratégia Urbana – Urban Laboratory.
