Eduardo Souto Moura

Born in Porto in 1952. Graduated in architecture from University of Porto School of Architecture. After working with Alvaro Siza Vieira at his architectural practice from 1974 to 1979, received his degree and began his independent architectural career in 1980. Won the 2011 Pritzker Architecture Prize for his talent, vision and commitment to produce a consistent significant contribution to humanity through the art of architecture specifically his Estádio Municipal de Braga, the Burgo Tower in Porto and the Paula Rego Museum in Cascais. While still a practicing architect, Eduardo is also a faculty professor at the Porto School of Architecture. He as also been a visiting professor at the schools of architectures at Geneva, Paris-Belleville, Harvard, Dublin, ETH Zurich and Lausanne, and continues to give lectures and hold seminars all over the world.
