Trienal de Arquitectura de Lisboa

Revisiting Triennale’s publications on the radio

José Mateus and Manuel Henriques are the guests of Post Scriptum’s second episode, released on November 13, 2021, the podcast by Magda Seifert and Pedro Baía for the online radio Antecâmara.

Post Scriptum #2 proposes a conversation with the chairman and executive director of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale about the books published in the various Triennale editions since 2007, with a focus on the 2019 edition, The Poetics of Reason, materialised in a collection of five books edited by Polígrafa. Written by the 5th edition’s team of curators, and designed by Marco Balesteros/Letra, these works have been extremely well received, with four titles already out of print. ‘What remains after publishing about what is beyond writing’ - Post Scriptum is a radio programme about architecture books, constructed around conversations with architects, authors, and publishers about works selected from the shelves of the Circo de Ideias bookshop. The podcast opening, with sound and editing by Francisco Petrucci, uses part of the soundtrack originally produced by the group Birds are Indie for the short film 29-A, produced by Circo de Ideias as part of the project Ruptura Silenciosa.

The Triennale has already launched twenty publications in partnership with different national and international publishers, an imperative tool for the dissemination of architectural culture. Discover them here.

Pedro Baía and Magda Seifert are the directors of the publishing house, bookshop and architecture gallery Circo de Ideias. Located in Porto, at Bairro da Bouça, Circo de Ideias was founded in 2008 as a non-profit cultural association, with the aim of promoting the dissemination and study of architecture.
