Good news: The Triennale has the support of DGArtes till 2021
For the first time, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale applied, together with 240 other entities, to the Arts Support Program of the DGArtes (quadrennial), presenting its total program for the years 2018-2021. We are pleased to announce that our application got the best score in the arts category by the external jury and that involves associations from all over the country. The overall amount assigned to the Triennale by the DGArtes till 2021 will be of 1.12 million euros (about 280.000€/year).
This support is decisive to make the program that we have envisioned happen and it allows extra stability for our team of collaborators, as well as the reinforcement of our sustainability in a short and medium term.
The acknowledgment of the quality of our program is also due to the excellence of our partners and sponsors that have been with us along the years. It is important to state this and give them their due recognition and our thank you.
Aware of the necessary work that is yet to be done to strengthen the cultural Portuguese network, namely in the visual arts, whose percentage of support grows timidly, we consider indispensable a general budget increase in the next few years. Only then can we make sure of the viability of the several structures of already recognized merit with a high-quality program and that this year did not receive support.
