About the Place
Located in the heart of the Alfama neighbourhood, this small apartment (55 sq. m) is on the second floor of a 4-storey building. While it was not possible to determine the year of construction, it was clear that over the years the apartment had undergone various interventions and extensions. The space is organised around the kitchen at its centre. Windowless, it provides access to all other rooms, thus adding the role of distributing space to that of its natural function of kitchen. From the apartment’s central point one has a full understanding of the entire living space. The marble used for the kitchen worktops and storage units and the bright yellow flooring are the eye-catching details in the apartment’s wet zones.
