Exceptional building with housing, commerce and services, constructed in reinforced concrete and conceived as a space of modern life. Functionality, spatial organization, quality of construction, infrastructure and artistic interventions were prioritised in its design and execution. The block shows influence from other modern works in the planning, constructive and linguistic aspects. The façades are solutions of formal and volumetric richness which frame, according to solar orientation, the entrance of light into the inner spaces, address the urban context, and reinforce the scale of the building. The roofs form half-vaulted ceilings that diffuse the northern light into the various studios integrated in the complex. The rehabilitation of one of these spaces introduced a new floor and renovated the finishing and infrastructure. The project reinforced the original proportions and comfort, through the uniformity in white and the synthesis of the materials used, mostly wood and stone.
