House of Countless Windows

  • Original Authors:
  • Fala
  • (2022)

This house presents itself as a system, rather than a composition. With more floors and windows than expected, all elements are repeated over and over again, in a visual statement that is perhaps one of the few contemporary examples that refuses a historicist or continuity perspective. The single-family house is located in a context of total urbanistic disaggregation, occupying a small plot of land with a huge slope. The half-floor system makes up for the lack of floor area and the façades completely hide this complex interior game. The rooms are separated by glass block walls, refusing excessive privacy. As a theorem, for this project’s authors, this is the logical result of the pre-established rules of the game. Dwelling here is a performative act.
