Amid an environment of broad transformations in the Lisbon neighbourhoods of Marvila and Beato, this space appears as an example of a change in uses and spatial evolution, in line with the most recent socio-economic transformations of the city. As a whole, this project consists of converting a 270 m2 industrial warehouse into a place with two main purposes: temporary accommodation for tourist groups, and organisation of cultural, social, and marketing events. The space presents two scales and two solutions to support these different functions: a structural logic of industrial warehouse, where private rooms are fitted, is joined by an ensemble of circular spaces, always tangent to each other and with variable dimensions, which make up the areas for general use. These contrasting spaces interact with each other and communicate with the views of the Tagus River and the industrial areas right in front.
