The Still Movement of Jardim das Amoreiras

Jardim das Amoreiras is a place of enchantment. We can follow the roots of the trees, dive into the leafy canopies, meet Maria Helena Vieira da Silva and Arpad Szenes, plunge into the imaginary of our childhood with the paedo-psychoanalyst João dos Santos, feel the grandeur of the aqueduct, close our eyes and dream, practise the verbs to see and to sprout.
Many worlds fit in a square. And in this walk that I propose to you, which is more than soundS, I summon Eugénio de Andrade, Fernando Pessoa, Ruy Belo, António Pinho Vargas, Stevie Wonder, a harmonium played by Vieira, who hesitated between painting and music, so many movements and associations, ruins, empty and helpless spaces, the arid season, the blooming season. Standing still, we can reach many places. Even the innermost within us.
