Educational Resources

Schools, families

Check out our playful and educational worksheets. They can be done together or independently.

  • Shape / Figure (ages 6-12). Can you spot triangles, squares, and circles in the houses around you? How many can you find? Do you also see them in flowers, trees, animals, and even their homes? The ways to combine shapes are infinite, and by doing so, we are designing, just like in architecture!

This challenge was created to accompany visits during Open House Lisboa. Activity designed by Letícia do Carmo and Filipa Tomaz.

  • House / Face (ages 6-12). Some buildings look like people, animals, or robots. Some appear happy, others sad or amazed! Discover houses’ personalities and notice the elements that make them different from each other. Imagine that windows are eyes peeking out from the house. The roof is a hat, the door is a mouth, the balcony is a long nose... Could your face inspire the design of a house?

  • Bird's Eye (ages 6-12). Based on a map observation, create a plan for a trip and explore the built environment around you using all your senses. Discover the paths, stories, and get to know the people.

This challenge is related to the exhibition "Matter for Future Excavation." Activity designed by Letícia do Carmo.

  • 5th Facade (+12 years). Based on a map analysis and a route, venture into the built environment around you using all your senses. Explore the paths, stories, and get to know the people.

This challenge is related to the exhibition "Matter for Future Excavation." Activity designed by Letícia do Carmo.

  • Activity B (to be done in groups, +15 years). What can we build with a square of 15x15? Each participant repeats, mixes, and reinvents shapes, colours, textures, and actions to construct a model. After completion, the models will be modified to unite into a single object.

This challenge is related to the exhibition "Handle with Care: Tales of the Invisible." Activity designed by Ricardo Baptista.
