Architecture without Status

The first event of the year will focus on energy, standards and behaviours within buildings. Our invited guest is the Spanish architect Roger Tudó, co-founder of Harquitectes. He will introduce their idea of ‘architecture without status’, through a series of projects of different programmes, complexities and scales, all of them developed in Catalonia, Spain.

Biography

Roger Tudó (ETSAV 1999) is co-founder of the architectural office Harquitectes, a studio established in 2000 and based in Sabadell, Barcelona. Harquitectes was founded and is managed by four partner architects: David Lorente Ibáñez (Granollers, 1972), Josep Ricart Ulldemolins (Cerdanyola del Vallès, 1973), Xavier Ros Majó (Sabadell, 1972) and Roger Tudó Galí (Terrassa, 1973). All partners were licensed between 1998 and 2000 at the E.T.S.A. Vallès, where Josep and Roger teach Projects and Construction. Xavier also teaches Projects at the E.T.S.A. Barcelona. During the last decade, Harquitectes has been working on the relationship between energy, sustainability and building.
