With a degree in Tridimensional Design from the Kingston School of Arts in the UK. Ghirardani has worked in art direction for film and television for 30 years.
Notable films include Anna and the King, The Gathering Storm and The Woman in Black. Most recently, he has been the Supervising Art Director on Game of Thrones, Seasons 4/5/6/7. He has won five Primetime Emmy Awards and two Art Director of America Awards. Game of Thrones is an American HBO TV Series based on the George R. R. Martin book. Very well received by the critics, the series has won 38 Emmy Awards and has is now in the Guinness World Records. Game of Thrones is mainly filmed in Northern Ireland, Spain, Morocco, Malta, Croatia and Island.
Manuel Graça Dias (Lisbon, 1953)Architect (ESBAL, 1977). Professor at UAL and Associated Professor at FAUP, where he concluded his PhD in 2009. Lives and works in Lisbon, where he co-founded, with Egas José Vieira, the CONTEMPORÂNEA architectural firm in 1990. He was Editor-in-chief of Jornal Arquitectos (2000-04 and 2009-12) and President of the Portuguese Section of AICA/Association International des Critiques d’Art (2008-12). He has published several books on architecture. In 1999 Manuel Graça Dias and Egas José Vieira were awarded the AICA/Portuguese Ministry of Culture Prize (Architecture) for their body of work.
