Tactile Drawing

Book exhibit and workshop

We opened the doors to the accessible children's book A House is a Mountain is a Hat, with an exhibit at the Palace that includes a tactile drawing workshop. Models of the illustrated and tactile album are displayed, with examples of the work that has been developed for this accessible publication. Throughout the day, you may carry out a series of activities and challenges, such as identifying objects and interpreting them by touch or drawing without using your eyesight.

For an hour and a half, you can also take part in a sensory workshop on tactile interpretation, drawing and creation of embossed images, in order to get an idea of this children's album production process. Through small exploration exercises and tactile illustration representation, we aim to create a simple drawing to take home and offer to someone this Christmas.

While the visit to the exhibit and its associated activities are free, the sensory workshop costs 5 euros to cover the value of the material used, Though it is free for contributors to the PPL crowdfunding campaign whose reward includes activities for children.
