Matriz

Lisbon, Porto and Montemor-em-Novo were the destinations chosen by Ricardo Jacinto and Nuno Torres for the presentation of their performance installation. The cellist and the saxophonist are on tour around three cities for the experimental show Concerto Matriz. On 15 April 2016, the duo of musicians will be welcomed at Sinel de Cordes Palace.

This triptych of concerts resulted from a cycle of residencies that led to the creation of collaborative software and the development of a set of practices and strategies in the area of networked music. Values such as immersion and collaboration were praised, and also called for a closer relationship with the radio auditorium through a browser interface composed of three volume faders, each corresponding to one of the cities where the musicians are.

The programme ends with a presentation of Concerto Matriz at three locations of Portugal. A unique experience in which the public is the one who defines his listening and, consequently, his sound path during the performance.
