The Food Temple opened 11 years ago as a pioneer of vegan cuisine in Lisbon, at the heart of Mouraria. Waiters, chefs, friends, artists, foodies, customers and neighbours went back and forth all those years and contributed to creating the unique identity of this place. As the restaurant has had several lives already, some of you have been supporting us for a very long time while others have just discovered us, but we have loved writing every chapter of The Food Temple’s story with you all. Now it’s expanding to the Cafeteria of a 18th Century palace where is based Lisbon Architecture Triennale

As a vegan restaurant, The Food Temple loves to create plant-based dishes that reflect the seasons and our inspiration. They also love how food so naturally brings people together, and so they have designed our menu to be one that is easily shared with good company.

Over the years, many local producers have popped up in the Portuguese capital with delicious creations. They have picked some of our favourites to have in-house for you! Craft sodas, handmade beer and local natural wines - our selection is changing from time to time according to the seasons and to our discoveries.

This creates a space for sharing and exploring the world of flavours.

Cashless, the cafeteria is open from Tuesday to Saturday until 27 April, 2024 from 12h — 18h. And when there are events until later in the day, the opening period is extended.
