RadioLINA

Each year Triennale invites emerging artists to conceive and carry out a residency in movement to be part of the programme “fed” by a network of the European platform LINA cultural agents. Travel is the raw material for an exercise in observation: experiencing territorial diversity, reducing distances, and extending boundaries are key elements of these residencies.

Conviviality through soundscapes: An immersive stream of storytelling

Thanks to the Periple Duet project by Trienal de Lisboa, with RadioLINA we recorded multiple meanings and scenes of the word Conviviality through southern Europe, forecasting the sound of landscapes and environments, focusing on small peripheral areas, where this word becomes an action and a way of inhabiting together. We stopped by communities, associations, and individuals, exploring what it means to be convivial in the cold winter of 2025.

All narratives are divided into a series of cassette tapes, including texts, interviews, inedited music, soundscapes, and more, along with a RadioLINA zine, with images, texts, drawings, maps and any kind of additional material, printed and edited in collaboration with the Lisbon Triennale.

Atelier Remoto was founded in 2014 by Valentina Merz and Lara Monacelli Bani and features collaborations with professionals from disciplines as diverse as architecture, education, carpentry, dance or music. This sound essay had the colaboration of the sound designer Jacopo Biffi.

Periple Duet is a series of residencies on the move, as part of the European LINA programme, which invites emerging artists to immerse themselves in an exercise in observation, creating an itinerary and a theme that unites the city where they come from and Lisbon. In this series of travelogues, launched in 2023, the artists embark on a journey that serves as the basis for a reflection on architecture and landscape, addressing the notions of border, fluidity, displacement and heritage.
