Lars Müller Publishers, the internationally renown publishing house who focuses its work on the visual arts, takes its books on tour, presenting gems of the past 33 years in a Nomadic Bookstore at design shop Nord in Lisbon.
“There is no digital replacement in sight for the book and its comforting physicality, its formal variety and the sensuality of its perception,” says Lars Müller, founder and owner, who is convinced the physical book won’t disappear from the scene anytime soon. To celebrate the uniqueness of its publications, Lars Müller Publishers sets up shop in selected places such as Nord and let’s visitors experience the unique features and peculiarities that get lost browsing digital versions of carefully crafted books.
Lars Müller Publishers was founded 33 years ago in 1983 as a result of the bibliophile passion of designer Müller. The house has made a worldwide name for itself with thoughtfully edited and designed publications on architecture, design, photography, contemporary art and society. The publishing program documents historical developments and contemporary phenomena by presenting compelling work in the visual arts, the design of objects and the environment as well as exploring its social and cultural relevance.
The house is the publisher of the official publication of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, The Form of Form. Join Lars Müller Publishers for the launch of the book as well as the opening of the Nomadic Bookstore at Nord.
