Olga Balaoura is an architect and urban planner. She holds an MSc from TU Delft and the University of Venice (IUAV) and is currently researching for her PhD at IUAV and the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Her research focuses on the geography of industrial production in Athens, amongst other issues, such as gentrification, and land dispossession. She has been engaged in several political and urban movements in Greece and abroad. She was elected to the central council of the Association of the Greek Architects and is a member of the curatorial team for #ThisIsACo-op, the Greek participation in the 15th Venice Biennale of Architecture.
