Rute Figueiredo (Pt)

Rute Figueiredo is an architect and an architectural historian (M.Phil. in Art History). Her main interests are the architectural disciplinary culture, the study of the Venice Architecture Biennale, and the architectural critical discourse published in periodical press. She is the author of Architecture and Critical Discourse in Portugal 1893-1918, and designed and coordinates the research project The Site of Discourse, sponsored by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. Rute is pursuing a PhD in History and Theory of Architecture at the gta/D-ARCH/ETH Zurich, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ákos Moravánszky. Her doctoral thesis analyzes how architectural disciplinary frames have been conceptualized and discussed within the context of the Venice Architecture Biennale.
