Triennale heads to Slovenia for 4th LINA Assembly
On 20th and 21st June 2024 the 4th Assembly for members of the European LINA platform takes place in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Representatives for the 32 organisations that belong in this community meet at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of the Slovenian capital to present the developed projects and conceive a plan for the future programme supported by Creative Europe.
Lisbon Triennale presents the second iteration of Periple Duet, which it produced in partnership with the Croatian organisation DAI-SAI. The moving residency involved three emerging artists: the duo Giga Tsikarishvili and Tatuli Japoshvili (wit[h]nessing) and the cultural mediator Johanna Musch - who embarked on two crossings by public land transport (find out more). The various public events held in various European venues, the course of a year, and events by the LINA members are also an opportunity to show off and encourage emerging professionals to imagine a future for architecture and be more aware of environmental challenges. This growing alliance is connecting different socio-cultural backgrounds with emerging talents who focus on the climate emergency.
The LINA - Learning, Interacting, Networking in Architecture community is now in a new chapter of selecting submitted proposals from the Open Call, which ended on the 13rd of May, 2024. Of the 337 eligible applications, the members’ voting is ongoing until the 13rd of June. The Governing Board (Cesar Reyes Najera, Ana Dana Beroš, Freo Majer, Tinatin Gurgenidze, Ivan Blasi, Matevž Čelik) then evaluates the projects with the highest scores to choose the 25 fellows invited to a public session.
At the LINA website, nearly one thousand submissions to the 2022, 2023 and 2024 Open Calls are available for consultation (see here), proving the legacy it has been building.
