Terra’s presentation in Porto
On Friday, 25 November - nine days before the end of the 2022 Triennale - Terra stands out at a presentation in the capital of the North where the Terra book collection is the protagonist. The event is a public Drink & Talk session at 18h30, at Circo de Ideias’ premises, a space that combines a bookstore and an architectural gallery. The conversation takes place in an informal and relaxed setting that brings together a panel of five: Cristina Veríssimo and Diogo Burnay (chief curators) are joined by José Mateus, Triennale’s chairman, and Magda Seifert and Pedro Baía on behalf of Circo de Ideias.
The five books (4 printed and 1 digital) are edited by the entire curatorial team and represent an expanded view on the themes in the central exhibitions, with graphic design by the Lisbon-based studio Barbara Says (António Silveira Gomes and Cláudia Castelo).
To develop the editorial feature of this 6th edition, the Triennale teamed up with a Portuguese publisher that is a fundamental instrument for the dissemination of architectural culture, a strategic option for its ability to dissolve borders and involve a wide audience in this reflection based on the discipline’s social, economic and environmental sustainability.
With a print run of 750 copies, the book collection is sold as a pack for 60 euros, but also individually for 18 euros each. The publications are for sale at the Circo de Ideias bookstore, in the exhibition venues, at the Triennale pop-up bookstore, and online.
The digital publication Emerging Voices on New Architectural Ecologies will soon be available for free here.
