The Archiprix Portugal Prize has distinguished the best Master's works in architecture from all Portuguese colleges since 2012, as a result of a protocol between the Serra Henriques Foundation and the Archiprix Foundation. This national award dedicated to the teaching of Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape Architecture aims to award the final-year student collective that best reflects the excellence of the educational institutions that have submitted an application for the competition.

The Lisbon Architecture Triennale has supported this excellent initiative with an increasingly consistent participation since the 1st edition of a Prize which has increasingly gained recognition among the academic community from these three disciplinary areas. Over the years, the Lisbon Triennale support has been provided in several ways, such as dissemination, integration in the parallel programme at the 2013 Triennale, or hosting evaluation sessions, exhibition of projects or winner announcement ceremonies at Palácio Sinel de Cordes.

This call for projects for the Archiprix Portugal Prize’s 10th edition will result in a yearbook that brings together the set of nominated projects, authors and tutors based on the evaluation of a jury made up of eminent professionals in these areas. The free-themed competition involves a total of 27 higher education institutions and distinguishes one winner, two special mentions and up to 8 honourable mentions.

Entries are made exclusively online during the application period that starts on Thursday, February 25 and runs until March 31, 2021. The announcement of the finalists’ list is scheduled for the month of May and the award ceremony will take place between the end of June and the beginning of July 2021.
