Niall Hobhouse is a collector of architectural drawings, sketches and models. He also writes about architecture and has served on the boards of institutions including the London School of Economics, the Sir John Soane’s Museum and the Canadian Centre for Architecture. He is an Honorary Fellow of the RIBA. Based in London and Somerset, he is currently a Trustee of the London School of Architecture and the Drawing Matter Trust, where he devotes himself in particular to questions and issues of architectural training and research. In the course of 2016 he has curated several exhibitions, drawing mainly on his own collections and exploring a wide range of architectural subjects, at the Swiss Architecture Museum, Hauser and Wirth Somerset, and the Courtauld Institute of Art.
