Flying to Oslo with Future Architecture Platform

From 10 to 12 November 2019, we joined all the twenty six architecture institutions members of Future Architecture Platform for the 9th Coordination meeting, taking place in Oslo, Norway. A two-day work session dedicated to the joint effort in framing the next scale, through vision and reflection, in which the Future Architecture Platform will successfully operate further.

On the first day, we’ve started with an open discussion between members of the platform and Advisory Board. The second day is dedicated to the evaluation of the Future Architecture activities implemented in its various formats around different countries and cultural public events, with emergent authors selected in the previous programme cycle, which included an Open call on November to December, 2018, as well as a Matchmaking conference in Ljubljana on February 2019. This is also the occasion for all members to present a short presentation that will reflect your achievements and challenges.

The executive director Manuel Henriques (Lisbon Architecture Triennale), presented the five educational activities hosted by The Poetics of Reason, each one linked to the main exhibitions. This participatory programme took place during the weeks of October allowing to amplify the curatorial perspectives ranging from workshops, performances, debates, performatic dinner, conceived by five creatives from different origins such as Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium and Albania.

In parallel, all the group will had opportunity, on Monday 11 November, to visit Oslo Architecture Triennale guided by the Oslo Architecture Triennale team, hosted by Hanna Dencik Petersson. These are the final two months of Future Architecture 2019 cycle and yet nine highly captivating events to mark this fall agenda of the 2019 European Architecture programme.
