Periple Duet: who's in for the third round
Learning with ghosts: Lucille Leger & Jacques-Marie Ligot
Atelier Remoto was founded in 2014 by Valentina Merz and Lara Monacelli Bani and features collaborations with professionals from disciplines as diverse as architecture, education, carpentry, dance or music. It won the “Miglior giovane progettista italiano 2022” award for the Dandalò pavilion in L'Aquila. This sound essay is the work of Atelier Remoto with sound designer Jacopo Biffi.
The second collective is Learning with Ghosts, a research project by architect Jacques-Marie Ligot and artist Lucille Leger. How do certain architectures reflect types of existence, power dynamics, the organization of space and bodies? The ghost is an active entity, but it only materializes by indirect means. The duo proposes to use this concept to question the agency of spaces experienced through affection.
For the third round, which begins on February 16, 2025, we will join forces with another LINA member, Forecast, and the tour will include a stop in Berlin for the 9th edition of the F9 Festival on March 13 and 14, 2025. The overland journey linking the place where the collectives live and Lisbon is scheduled to end on March 31, 2025.
These two new travelogues bring together audacious reflections and conceptual and affective provocations and join the 4 previous ones: Periple Duet 2024 and Periple Duet 2023
Travel is the raw material for an exercise in observation: experiencing territorial diversity, reducing distances, and extending boundaries are key elements of this residency, which results in two essays, different in format and itinerary.
