Aiming to broaden the dissemination of architectural culture produced by academia, a digital anthology brings together a selection of works presented by universities from all over the world. The book includes 17 essays selected among the entries to the Millennium bcp Lisbon Triennale Universities Award.

In the words of the duo curating this competition, Cristina Veríssimo and Diogo Burnay, «Universities are critical centres for experimentation, innovation, and production of knowledge, and the questions put forth by Terra call for an opportunity for practitioners and researchers to dialogue. These investigations explore different approaches from schools around the world that aspire to change the disciplinary paradigms in architecture, urbanism and landscape design.»

By bringing knowledge to more people, an open source anthology has great potential for applicability, inspiring its use in real contexts and fostering exchange and cross-learning between institutions. We hope this legacy will be a catalyst for change towards the future of ecology in architecture.

Free of charge and entirely in English, it can be downloaded online starting at the end of October on the Triennale's website, and also from publishers Circo de Ideias' and Monade's. From Canada to Egypt, this anthology gathers contributions from 12 countries, with emphasis on the five investigations from Portugal.
