What if a multidisciplinary incubator sets up in a unique location on the periphery deeply affected by the crisis? Believing that citizens need non-institutional spaces to cultivate new models of thinking for alternative solutions, we propose convert Trafaria’s old prison into a temporary laboratory. During one week in June EDA invited architecture collectives, curators, cultural activists and citizens to participate in workshops on prototyping a space for creative communities inspired by the cultural diversity of the region. In October we will reopen the laboratory to present the results of this experimentation, and broadcast them through a radio program. In collaboration with Constructlab, we offer a building workshop open to the community, the public of Triennale and invited guests.
