About the Place
The first building, the former headquarters of DIALAP, a diamondc utting industry, displays a remarkable post-war modern language and high functionality. After hosting Expo 98, it was redesigned and extended to house the headquarters of Rádio e Televisão de Portugal – including studios, newsrooms, technical and administrative areas – organised into functional and production areas with a sophisticated technical-operational component. The clear geometry of the complex distinguishes three volumes of formal purity that contrast with their surroundings. The treatment of the green areas is homogeneous, and the relief modelling unifies the terrain and the roof.
