The project restores an old building facing the Santa Clara market, the National Pantheon, the Tagus River, and, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the flea market. This 18th-century palace that used to be a private residence has been recently converted into a guest house, with only six rooms, a large dining room, and a sheltered garden. Recreating the ideal of the old Lisbon manor house, it preserves the authenticity of the pre-existence, favouring the traditional local materials, such as lioz limestone, tiles, and wood. The harmony experienced in the new spaces results from this symbiosis between traditional elements recombined within a contemporary logic.
