About the Place
Founded by Maria Paola Porru in Bairro Alto, this restaurant has become one of the city’s most iconic. It features two distinct dining rooms: the first, retaining its original character, boasts a soft colour palette evident in the chequered hydraulic mosaic flooring, the homely furnishings, decorative details and artistic touches; the second, created by incorporating a narrow neighbouring fishmonger’s, features darker colours and a more intimate atmosphere. The result is a welcoming, classically inspired atmosphere that evokes traditional Italy, both in the aesthetics of the space and in the dining experience.
