About the Place
The urban complex known as Convento do Beato comprises around a dozen buildings from different periods. These include the former church, parts of the former convent and various industrial buildings constructed during the 20th century. Of the convent, the cloister, the chapter house, the refectory, the staircase and the library remain. The project involved restoring the former church and convent to host events, and the conversion of the surrounding buildings, mainly for residential use. Work began in 2018 and was completed in 2025.
