About the Place
Avenidas Novas is a neighbourhood made up mainly of income buildings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The apartment was in its original state, although very dilapidated, and this allowed the adaptation to the new occupation to rehabilitate all the decorative elements, in Art Deco style, in the ceiling plaster and carpentry. With a depth of 23 metres, a lobby in the centre and a kitchen at the back, to the north, typical of these buildings, the project intended that the entire social area should be located to the south, next to the entrance, as a new kitchen. A neutral colour was chosen to highlight the carpentry, repairing the wounds of time on the pre-existing ones and making the new ones uniform.
