About the Place
The legacy and memory of this family home belonging to the grandparents of the current owner, who lived there in the 20th century framed this minor low-cost renovation, with the meticulous maintenance and recovery of important building elements – azulejo tile wainscoting, doors, staves, friezes, ironwork and wooden ceilings and floors. The main transformative element is the extension of the attic/loft, which used to be accessed via an attic ladder but it has now been replaced by a multi-functional element: a staircase in painted wood that also turns into a storage space and provides access to a ceiling-less bathroom and the terrace overlooking Tejo.
