About the Place
Located on Avenida da Liberdade, this building’s facade reveals a succession of interventions in different moments throughout the 20th century. Walking through the black corridor and passing by the shops on the ground floor, you are surprised by a singular space: a large entrance lobby with a clear headroom up to the roof skylight occupies the centre of the block. On the sides, the floors hide behind a white curtain with a length of 20 metres. This area also works as a meeting space, a drawing room inhabited by unusual white pieces of a playful nature and undefined function. The intervention sought to improve working conditions by creating open spaces conducive to its creative use by this media company.
