Vertigo

  • Interventions:
  • Atelier João Quintela Tim Simon
  • (2014 reabilitação)

Located in a large industrial warehouse space along the riverfront, Vertigo is not just a climbing space but also an architectural project. Symbolising the industrial period in Lisbon, a structure made of concrete elements and pinewood blocks that has been painted red defines an interior space that is dominated by the use of black metal elements. This functions as a flexible structure that allows for different uses, such as a café and reception space. The visit to Vertigo also means being able to try out the climbing walls (only on specifically identified visits).
