About the Place
This intervention in the interior of a corner building on Rua Alexandre Herculano and Rua Mouzinho da Silveira was aimed at creating a work space for a law firm that was comfortable, modern and informal all at the same time. In addition to resolving the functions normally associated with a medium-sized office space, the design was also based around creating a generous wintergarden space on the western side of a vulgar office block floor, the ceiling heights of which were doubled through the use of a mirrored ceiling. Refined materials and textiles, as well as rigorous design of the individual work and meeting spaces, contrast with the exuberant nature of the overall semi-interior/exterior space.
