About the Place
The flat is situated on the fourth floor of a mid-20th-century building on Avenida Guerra Junqueiro. Minimal intervention was required: the spatial and functional layout of the home was retained and the wooden floors, stucco ceilings and painted wooden doors and windows were restored. New furniture (bookshelves, a desk, cupboards and a bed) was designed for the offices and the master bedroom, made from plywood or wood. The aim in the kitchen and bathrooms was to create a different living experience shaped by the material used: white marble from Vila Viçosa. More than just a covering, the sawn marble defines the spaces in which one cooks, eats or bathes.
