With origins in the 11th century, Palácio da Anunciada is located in Portas de Santo Antão, a charismatic street with different experiences, layers, typologies and uses of buildings. In the continuity of facades, noble palaces coexist with modest housing. On the ground floor, restaurants appeal to tourists, merging with hundred-year-old and souvenir shops, the Coliseu, Politeama, Ateneu, inexpensive guesthouses and luxury hotels. The latter is the case of The One, a hotel with 83 rooms and extensive gardens. The impressive main entrance is followed by a staircase that leads to four noble halls of greater architectural and heritage value, now renovated. From here we see the centenarian dragon tree in the central garden. Keeping the main facades, the rooms are in a wing built from scratch with the requirements of hotel equipment. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, spa, lounge bar with direct access from the street and more private gardens for guests to enjoy.
