About the Place
The four buildings on the intersection of Avenida de Roma and Avenida dos Estados Unidos da América are one of the most important works of Lisbon architecture from the 1950s. This apartment was originally designed as a studio of an architect, and it has breathtaking panoramic views. It has now been converted to an apartment, with the intervention focusing on removing elements added to the original space over the years (glassed-off balconies, air conditioning, dividing walls and lowered ceilings) and highlighting the original characteristics, as well as the extraordinary light and views over the city, which are major arguments in favour of the original architecture.
