Next to the former Instituto Industrial, this building, which takes almost the entire block formerly occupied by SOREL, a car dealer and garage, is a clear example of the natural process of city transformation and reflects the progressive replacement of industry by services. The industrial character is revisited in the use of materials common in riverside warehouses and factories: brick, black metal profiles and large spaces associated with collective use, such as auditoriums or cafeterias, contrasting with the office and service areas. To the north, a narrow façade connects with the front of Largo Conde Barão and the old coastline. The renovation of the building earned several national and international distinctions in 2018 and 2019, such as the Architizer A+ Awards or the Architecture Masterprize.
